This question has been asked of me more than I can remember, and every time I hesitate. Not that I lack the answer, but certainly there is an implied silence in the question. Women almost always ask this question. Even my own co-founder rarely asks this question. The fact in itself shows the extent to which our ideas about work, care, and leadership are tied to outdated expectations. And it is not just a personal annoyance. It is a larger social issue. The question women in industries are asked is the same, but it is typically asked with concern, disbelief, and often judgment. And in the middle of it all, it supports a message that women have to make a choice, balance, sacrifice, or reason. This blog does not aim to provide a subjective explanation. It is a statement to all working mothers who have been told to justify their wishes. The Myth of Balance Balance implies that there is a fight between two powers. One side represents business, while the other represents family. There can be stress in one area and guilt in another. However, that is not my style of life. Family and work are not opposite poles. They are the right and left hemispheres of the same identity. I am not just a mother of three children; I also lead an organization. I lead two lives, both of which live, develop, and define me.... --- - Published: 2025-12-12 - Modified: 2025-12-24 - URL: https://divyagokulnath.com/why-im-teaching-my-kids-that-learning-never-stops-starting-from-age-zero/ - Categories: Teacher Introduction: The Question Every Parent Asks When is it too early to teach my child? As a parent and a teacher of three children, this is the question that I have been asked more than once. And my answer to this question has always been the same. Young people never cease to learn. Their heads start embracing sounds, patterns, expressions, and emotions as soon as they are born into this world. It is not the time of learning that is actually the question. Whether we as parents and educators are making the appropriate environment in which it can thrive. Learning is not a milestone. It is a ride that goes through all the childhood moments. And knowing this, we come to realize that the first years are the best in terms of growth. Learning Starts from Day One A child will not wait until he or she receives a school admission or a formal lesson to start learning. Their initial steps and their initial words, and their initial efforts to build blocks or to grasp a spoon are all strong demonstrations of natural learning. They do it without fear, without manual, and with will, which most adults eventually lose. This is a beautiful truth that is supported by science. It has been found that the brain grows best during the first three years of life, and this stage of life (zero-eight years old) is the one that determines the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth more than any other stage.... --- - Published: 2025-11-26 - Modified: 2025-12-24 - URL: https://divyagokulnath.com/igniting-minds-the-journey-of-divya-gokulnath/ - Categories: Entrepreneur Igniting Minds: The Journey of Divya Gokulnath In 2007, 21-year-old Divya Gokulnath walked into her first classroom wearing a saree, not out of tradition, but to be taken seriously by her students. Barely out of college and only a few years older than her learners, she was understandably nervous. But one question changed everything:“What if learning didn’t have to be hard? What if it could be joyful? ” That pure and yet great curiosity was the seed of all her future edifice. From teaching a small classroom to reaching more than 250 million learners worldwide, from teaching a small number of learners to co-founding one of the most influential education movements, Divya has experienced a phase of learning, adapting, and reimagining what education can be. This website is her digital home, a space where she shares the lessons, innovations, challenges, and vision that continue to shape her mission. It’s not just the story of building a company. It’s the story of how she was able to ignite minds, including her own. The Unlikely Beginning: From Biotechnology to Teaching Divya never planned to become a teacher. An engineering graduate from RV College of Engineering in Bangalore, she once envisioned a quiet career in science. But life had other plans.   She was preparing for the GRE. That is when she discovered Byju Sir's CAT classes. The syllabus overlapped for the CAT and the GRE. She did exceedingly well. Got accepted into global universities. Divya Gokulnath first encountered Byju Raveendran in 2007... --- ---
